My name is Ange and I am the director of ACEarly Years Training. I am a proud mother of three grown children, nine gorgeous grandchildren and devoted carer to over 200 delightful kiddies from 1983 – 2004 as a registered childminder.
I was a deeply passionate spokesperson for registered childminders, serving on several voluntary committees as a chairman of the local, county and regional levels and proudly set up the becoming the voice of childminders directly with the chief executive of Ofsted, helping registered childminders gain the professional standard they have now. Through my personal development journey, I gained my diploma on Cache L3 in early years childcare and education, and my academic degree with the University of Greenwich, to become an adult educator. In 2004, I became part of the National Childminding Association (NCMA), where I worked for the Hampshire Local Authority Early Years sector as a Childminding Development Coordinator. Physically going into the new children centres and creating childminding groups along with visiting childminders in their homes. I achieved nine wonderful years here, by 2015 I then worked as a freelance for PACEY (formerly NCMA) as a tutor/assessor by teaching the L3 home-based childcare diploma and assessing the assignments of the diploma.

She is professional, friendly and reliable, and I am keen to help empower parents so that they can better enjoy their children’s early years.
I have worked as a childcare consultant the service is bespoke to the family, I work with I draw on 25 years of experience as well as my knowledge of Norland, Montessori and play therapy. Supporting parents and children in their homes during challenging moments, giving birth arrival of siblings, divorces, school exclusions general behavioural issues.
I assess the child’s needs using an SDQ and observation then inform the parents via a written and verbal report of my observations, I set out step by step guides and work with the children and parents to achieve the goal. I find that a child will present one type of behaviour and when we dig into the situation around the behaviour, I often discover the child is just reacting to the environment and the people around them.
This can lead to challenging conversations. I am used to being the professional that works on the child’s behalf between parents and other professionals. I am used to having diplomatic, professional and often challenging conversations while being ethical and empathic. I am very patient and want families to own their own strategy, helping them feel empowered by the choices they make, with guidance and support. This is the Montessorian in me the method of teaching realises on human nature and that you want to move forward doing it in your own way.
